Favourite Facials

Publicerad 5 february, 2021

Two of my favourite homemade facials right now are the Rhassoul clay mask and the honey and egg mask. So simple and even edible ( but don’t eat the clay!!) Usually I end up with one mask per week but I am aiming to do it twice a week as it feels so good for the skin and makes me feel refreshed and bright. Combined with a warm salty bath for both relaxation and purification of the body, mind and aura it is a real treat of a time.

Rhassoul Clay Mask

Take a plastic or wooden tea spoon or two of organic rhassoul clay powder into a non-metallic bowl (use glass, or ceramic or wood) and mix with a tea spoon of finely ground organic oatmeal, mix with a bit of water or organic rose water until the mix is fully integrated and smooth.

Apply on to a washed face and let sit for about 15 minutes (while you soak in a bath for example).

Wash off with a face cloth and water. Using a face pad apply some rose water onto the skin and/or if you wish add a face oil such as coconut or almond oil after. Sometimes I do not add anything after other than the rose water and the skin stays delicious. Sometimes I add a bit of oil to the clay mix to make it more nourishing if my skin is feeling dry or I have had make up on and the skin needs extra care.

Honey Egg Combo

Use the egg white for the oily areas of the face by whisking it and mixing with a spoon of organic honey. Use the egg yolk for the dry areas by whisking it and mixing with some honey.

Apply on to washed face and leave on for about 15 minutes (while you soak in a bath or rest on a comfy blanket or divan in relaxation to nice music.)

Wash off with a face cloth and water. Using a face pad apply some rose water onto the skin and/or if you wish add a face oil such as coconut or almond oil after. Sometimes I do not add anything after other than the rose water and the skin stays delicious.

To turn it more into a scrub add some roughly ground organic oats to the mix and gently scrub on to the face in circles with finger tips and then leave on as above as a mask.

This one is a particularly delicious combination and its hard to not lick the lips to catch what drips down over the mouth!! The skin feels glowing after.

Currently I have been stocking up for these homemade delicacies with Sweden's OrganicMakers who also have a great range of DIY spa products and recipes and inspiration to get you glowing.

ENJOY YOURSELF!
